This is one of my favorite pots in the city. We come here for brunch and dinner quite often with our families.
They have some of my favorite grilled octopus in the city. Also the sleeper on the menu is the Focaccia.
Other things on the menu that are delicious : meatballs, mussels & clams, burrata, and the lobster tagliatelle.
Everything tastes so fresh, the bread practically melts in your mouth. When we come for brunch we always end up ordering all the apps and sharing amongst the family but it's all so good. No complaints here.
And don't forget your assortment of bombolonis for dessert!!! -

Food was fantastic! Service was wonderBful. Definitely coming back when I'm next in Chicago. It's a perfect early dinner restaurant.
They have a DJ booth. I was visiting during the early day and they were not playing music. I didn't check out the record collection but I'm of the mindset that makes you cool automatically if you're into vinyl.
We had the most amazing dessert. The Bomboloni...it came with three sauces, raspberry, chocolate and salted caramel.
I really enjoyed the server too. She was knowledgeable and pleasant. She made great recommendations. -

Try the prosciutto & fig pizza and the gnocchi! The food is unique and tasty, but portions can be small and be a bit pricey.
The prosciutto fig pizza has a good balance of sweet and savory. It was mostly savory with large amounts of prosciutto which is good for an entree. Sprinkled through are fresh figs to add a bite of something sweet. The gnocchi is chewy and tasty, a great italian dish. I was not super impressed with the short rib lasagna. It was a little too heavy, the short rib felt a bit dry and a small portion.
Overall a good italian place, great for a date night! Will come back again. You'll need reservations and try to get a table upstairs! -

The place was pretty filled down and upstairs for brunch. The bars seemed to have plenty of open seating. Plenty of variety of food on the menu, but I ended up ordering the Short Rib Hash because the description looked good and once the plate was set in front of me, it sure tasted good!
Looking around, the mimosa delivery to other tables was cute for a group, but I needed to settle down that morning and ordered fresh squeezed orange juice, which was...fresh.
Great environment for my visit to Chicago. -

So I literally flew to Chicago just to eat at this place again and it did not disappoint! I initially went on a Thursday night, but by the time I got there, the late night menu was in effect and the dish I wanted isn't offered during late night. So I came back Friday around 4:30.
I sat at the bar and ordered a No. 10 to drink. It was delicious! Fresh and light, with the perfect amount of sweetness, a great summertime drink. For my meal, I ordered a side Caesar salad and the short rib lasagna (the dish I came for). The Caesar salad was literally the best I've ever had! It was perfect, from the amount of dressing to the serving size to the crouton sprinkles...super delicious! Then my short rib lasagna came out - it had a dollop of ricotta on top, which was different from before, but a pleasant addition. The lasagna was just as good as I remembered it being a year ago!
Highly recommend Bar Siena and my entire order lol. The bartenders were really nice and personable, the service was great, and the food is awesome. This place is amazing and I'll definitely be back again soon.
